The Hawaiian culture and lifestyle have inspired many for generations. As someone who grew up in Hawaii and was immersed in the language and culture, I want to share five key ways you can achieve wellness in your life, inspired by Hawaiian values.

Wellness is not something that happens overnight, but with a few changes and consistent efforts, you can begin to feel more peace and less stress in your life. Eventually, you will develop balance in the areas of your life.

In Hawaii, things move slower– speed limits, grocery store lines, restaurants, etc.. When locals are invited to a party, they’ll probably show up 20 minutes late because they’re “on Hawaiian time.” 

Friends who visit Hawaii complain about the slowness to me and I just smile.

I think it’s a wonderful thing to slow down. When was the last time you slowed down?
