If you’re looking for a touristy experience, this is not your book. I’m a Hawaii girl, a kama’aina, or person of the land. I’ve lived in Hawaii for the most part of my life, and it has been a part of my identity and culture. I love doing things that are fun, cheap, or free, and this blog features those kinds of things. There are many tourist companies in Hawaii that can take you around, and I’m not undermining them. I’m sure they’re great. But if you want to look at things from a local perspective, this book has it.
